- Any expired products that are held in the refrigerator must be discarded.
- Any ready-to-eat (RTE), time/temperature for safety (TCS) food that has been prepared on site that are held in the refrigerator must be discarded if they are held beyond 7 days of being prepared. Preparation day counts as day number 1.
- Any opened container of a RTE, TCS food prepared and packaged by a food processing plant that are held in the refrigerator must be discarded if they are held beyond 7 days of being opened. The open date counts as day number 1.
